Employment relationships

The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications is responsible for formulating and overseeing the implementation of the working life policy. Through the cultivation and sustenance of productive employment relationships and the provision of a safe, healthy work environment, we actively contribute to enhancing the quality of working life.

Pivotal keywords in the realm of employment are 'work environment' and 'employment relationship'.

To foster occupational well-being, it is essential to consistently address the work environment, encompassing the conditions in which an individual works, while also safeguarding the health and safety of the employee.

In employment relationships, the employee and the employer must observe mutual rights and obligations, which are written in the employment contract, collective agreements, and laws regulating employment relationships (for example, the Employment Contracts Act, the Occupational Health and Safety Act). Friendly cooperation between employees as well as between employee and employer requires that the parties are aware of their rights and obligations.
